Welcome to the new blog of the Progressive Caucus of the New York City Council!

The Progressive Caucus was founded in March of 2010 because of a shared concern about the growing inequality in New York. We believe New Yorkers want a more just and more equal city so we organized around founding principles of social and economic justice,  a non-discriminatory society, and priorities that represent the interests of all New Yorkers, not just the affluent and powerful.

We hope you’ll keep an eye on us as we work toward making New York a better place to live and work.
